A proposal to build 14 new townhomes in Downers Grove first discussed by the village council last week is up for a vote at the regular Tuesday meeting.
The proposal would construct 14 townhouses in the Fairmount Village II subdivision.
The village plan commission recommended the developer’s plan at a June meeting.
The project would build two, seven-unit townhouse buildings on 1.45 acres at 950 75th St.

Each building would have seven, 2,100-square-foot townhouses, according to plan commission documents.
The Fairmount Village II neighborhood was approved in 1984, and the new townhomes would fill a lot previously occupied by a single family home that was destroyed by a fire in 2009, according to village documents.
At the June 3 plan commission meeting, several residents expressed concerns regarding increased traffic, stormwater, construction timeframes and landscaping, according to village documents.
