Williams Gives Thumbs up to Large Videoboard
The city’s Landmarks Commission granted the Cubs permission Thursday to erect the giant board and added signage in 2014.
“It’ll add a lot of attraction to the ballpark,” Williams said. “It’s not going to hurt (the ambience) too much. The Cubs and Wrigley Field, the history of it, more of that can be exposed on a (videoboard). Highlights of some of the guys who played the game here, and played it hard, and old film of that. I just think it will be good.
