A woman from Naperville’s southeast side who still faces trial on identity theft, fraud and shoplifting charges has been sentenced to two years in prison for possessing crack cocaine.
Sandra R. Decosola remained Wednesday in DuPage County Jail in Wheaton. A total of four “holds” have been placed on her by law enforcement officials from Cook County and near-west suburban Forest Park, according to jail records.
Decosola, 40, pleaded guilty in DuPage County Circuit Court to a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance. That followed her arrest last summer at her home on the 1300 block of Creighton Avenue in Naperville’s University Heights neighborhood.
DuPage County Judge Kathryn E. Creswell on Nov. 22 accepted Decosola’s plea and imposed the prison sentence, court records showed. A companion charge of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia was dismissed in exchange for that plea.
