Wheaton resident Ngun Tawng instantly won $50,000 after scratching an Illinois Lottery MS Project ticket, according to an Illinois Lottery news release.
“I wanted to try a different ticket. What better than a ticket that supports multiple sclerosis research? It’s a double win,” he said when he presented his winning ticket at the Lottery Prize Center in Des Plaines, according to the release.
Tawng said he buys a different instant lottery ticket each month. He plans to use the windfall to buy a house, the release stated.
