Kevin Durant’s Achilles tendon tear in this year’s Finals took all the air out of Golden State’s dynasty, and was immediately followed by fans and media questioning if the Warriors were complicit by pressuring him to come back too soon.
Some have claimed that pinning the blame on Golden State’s management was a bridge too far, but Andre Iguodala doesn’t. Today on the Breakfast Club, Iggy said he was suffering from a fractured leg, which the organization sold to the media as a bone bruise. Similarly, Durant’s eventual Achilles injury was characterized as a less serious calf strain. He says, like KD, he was constantly asked about if and when he would come back.
If KD feels the same way, he may very well be headed elsewhere in free agency.
Okay. What is going on with the Warriors training staff.
This is ridiculous. Did they know this? pic.twitter.com/sW3m0lNeth
