Colin’s NFL Week 4 Blazin’ 5

Colin got it rolling with a 4-1 Week 3 and is off to his best Blazin’ 5 start ever at 10-5 heading into Week 4. This week, he’s looking to keep the cash flowing for the masses and this is favorite week of games so far this season.

Here are Colin’s Week 4 Blazin’ 5 plays:

  1. Browns at Oakland (-2.5) – Colin locked in the Raiders -2.5 earlier in the week as his Game of the Week because he loves them at home facing rookie Baker Mayfield in his first road start. Gruden is 0-3 in his return, but Oakland has led every game entering the fourth quarter, and Derek Carr is completing 76.6% of his passes (2nd in the NFL) for an offense that’s ready to finally close the deal.

Baker Mayfield became an insta-rockstar after his win in emergency action against the Jets last week, but #1 picks since 2003 are 0-10 in their first start, and have only completed 54% of their passes for 10 TD’s and 20 INT’s and a passer rating of 59.9. Take the Raiders, lay the 2.5. Oakland, 28-20.

 

2. Texans at Colts (-1) -Colin will take the Colts -1 here and he can’t believe it’s not more. The Indy defense has been a sieve for seemingly ever but GM Chris Ballard’s quickly revamped version is tied for 4th in the NFL in sacks (10), and have a dramatically improved defensive front. They should be able to tee off on Deshaun Watson, who’s taken a league-high 33 hits this season behind arguably the worst offensive line in the NFL.

Offensively, Andrew Luck should shred a Texans pass defense that’s allowing opposing QB’s to complete 73% of their passes with 7 TD’s only 1 INT, and a QB rating of 119. Take Indy, give up the point. 33-26, Colts.

 

3. Seahawks at Cardinals (+3) – Colin likes the Cardinals getting a field goal at home in what should be an ugly one offensively. Both offenses will probably be bad, but Chandler Jones – who leads the NFL in sacks with 42.5 since 2015 – and the Arizona pass rush should be able to chase down Russell Wilson who’s been sacked 14 times (T-1st in NFL) behind a bad offensive line.

David Johnson will run it on Seattle’s 30th ranked rush defense, and in a game with two bad offenses, Colin likes the home team getting a field goal. Arizona covers and wins outright in Josh Rosen’s first start. 24-23.

 

4. Saints at Giants (+3.5) – After a bad first two weeks, the Giants looked better in Week 3, and Colin loves them getting 3.5 at home here against the Saints. New Orleans has proven they’re a different team away from home, and this is their second road game in a row with a struggling defense. The Saints D ranks last in the NFL in PPG allowed (34.3), is tied for last in Yards Per Play allowed (6.9), Takeaways (1), and ranks 30th in Total YPG Allowed (421.0).

Saquon Barkley is the first Giant with 100+ scrimmage yards in his first three games and should keep the streak going here. Take the Giants, the points, and outright. (28-27).

 

5. Ravens (+3.5) at Steelers – Colin has been high on the Ravens since the preseason, and likes them getting 3.5 heading into Pittsburgh to play the Steelers coming off a draining Monday Night in Tampa. The Ravens don’t have offensive starpower, but have scored touchdowns on all 12 of their redzone drives and face a Pittsburgh D that’s allowing 30 points and over 410 yards per game.

The Ravens are still solid on defense, ranking 1st in Total YPG Allowed (273.0), Yards Per Play Allowed (4.3), 2nd in Pass Yards Allowed (169.3), and 5th in PPG Allowed (17.0). Colin likes the underrated Ravens getting 3.5 to get the win in Pittsburgh. 27-23, Baltimore.
