Sports are magic for kids, and for the young son of North Carolina Central Men’s Basketball Coach LaVelle Moton, his dad’s players are understandably his heroes. In a moment that’s as pure as sports gets, the little guy broke down in tears in the locker room on Senior Night when he realized his favorite Senior on the team wouldn’t be playing anymore home games.
After letting the tears flow, the kid eventually made his way over to the player for a goodbye hug. This clip shows how much of a family a team really is. This poor kid feels like he’s losing an older brother. If this doesn’t make you well up, you might be a sociopath.
Hard seeing your son emotional, once he realizes his fave player has played his last home game. He thought they would play in the backcourt together….#WeAreNCCU #BiggerThanBasketball pic.twitter.com/bmd5YcBRYr
