Cowboys Defensive End David Irving is currently facing his third suspension for violation of the NFL’s substance abuse policy, and last night he took to social media to declare his retirement from the NFL until the league reforms its draconian marijuana punishments.
He made the announcement while toking a massive spliff.
Irving made the case that the NFL’s weed policies are behind the times, and that he would rather smoke the ganj than shovel pain pills down his throat. He also pointed out that the NBA doesn’t suspend players for puffing the sticky icky. Irving also said he’s prepared to become this issues ‘Kaepernick’ to advocate for change.
The NFL is still stuck in the 90’s when it comes to pot policy, and apparently Irving is prepared to figuratively burn piles of cash for his right to burn down and play in the league.
It may seem crazy, but have you ever gotten a sack when you’re high, man? Amazeballs.
