The ownership of Pheasant Run Resort and the DuPage Airport Authority – which filed a lawsuit this year to acquire the resort through eminent domain – have reached an agreement, according to a press release issued May 26.
The airport authority filed the lawsuit over its concerns about potential residential development on the resort’s golf course, which abuts the DuPage Airport, according to the release. The release indicated the airport is the fourth busiest airport in Illinois.
Pheasant Run, 4051 E. Main St., St. Charles, is directly north of the airport, 2700 International Drive, West Chicago.
Under the agreement, the airport authority will not seek to acquire the resort or the adjoining frontage parcels along East Main Street, the release stated.
