An Oswego man who already has served two jail terms for threatening the life of Illinois State Toll Highway Authority Board Chairman Robert Schillerstrom could be headed for a third. DuPage County prosecutors on Thursday amended charges against James P. Conroy, 57, of the 500 block Chestnut Drive, related to several accusations stemming from the night of June 10.
At the time of the latest accusations, Conroy was three months into a two-year probationary sentence for making threatening calls to Schillerstrom’s home in December 2015. According to the latest indictment, Conroy attempted to take a taxi June 10 to Schillerstrom’s Naperville residence and “made numerous telephone calls to the Naperville Police Department in which he threatened to kill Robert Schillerstrom and requested Robert Schillerstrom be killed.”
