Kyler Murray is unquestionably this year’s NFL Draft wild card, with scouts split between those that think his 5,9”-ish height won’t work in the NFL, and those that think his accuracy, arm strength and speed make him a dangerous weapon in today’s league.
Colin has gone on the record saying he prefers the more traditional QB prospect in Dwayne Haskins over Murray, but today FS1 Lead College Football Analyst Joel Klatt stopped by to make the case for the Heisman winner.
Klatt thinks Murray’s height isn’t an issue in today’s NFL and the fact that he’s accurate and an elite distributor is more important. He also argued that the Cardinals should take Murray with the first pick because he’s a better fit for Kliff Kingsbury’s offense than Josh Rosen.
Colin scoffed when Klatt said that Murray was a better college runner than Michael Vick, and still prefers Haskins, but this is 10 quality minutes of Klatt and Cowherd locking horns ahead of the combine.
