With Michigan out of the Big 10 Championship game, could Ohio be close behind?
The 2020 college football season has been crazy to say the least, and this week could be no different at all. One of the best rivalry games in all of college football will not be played this season. Due to the test of positive COVID cases for the Michigan Wolverines. This leaves Ohio State in a tricky spot. Without this game, Ohio State will not have competed in 6 Big Ten games this season. Which leaves them ineligible to play in the Big Ten Championship Game.
This 6 game rule is potentially being changed, but Clay Travis is arguing that Ohio State should be playing Texas A&M this weekend. The Aggies are also dealing with a cancelled game this week, as Ole Miss is unable to play too.
Both of these teams are in the top 5 of the rankings. Which means the winner of this game would more than likely find themselves in the College Football Playoff. Ohio State is 5-0, but their schedule has been weak to put it kindly. Texas A&M has had a solid year, but a loss to Alabama is preventing them from playing the the SEC Championship.
