Derrick Rose was living a lifelong dream of starring for his hometown Bulls, until a series of knee injuries rendered him nothing more than an expendable asset. In the new documentary, Pooh, that details some of the lowest points of Rose’s career, including the devastating moment he found out he was being traded from his beloved Bulls to the eternal dumpster fire that is the Knicks in 2016.
In the never before seen footage, Rose just finishes telling the director of the doc how much it means for him to stay in Chicago, when agent B.J. Armstrong calls to tell him the deal was done with New York. Rose is completely devastated and left in tears over the news.
It’s a tough watch, but you have to respect Rose for sharing what was one of the worst day’s of his life. Pro sports can be a helluva tough business, no matter how many millions you’ve made.
