A garage sale this month in Wheaton to help children rescued from child trafficking in Ghana, West Africa, raised more than $7,000.
Beth Johnson and her cousin, Susie Krieg, held the garage sale June 10 and 11 to benefit the Touch A Life Foundation.
“We raised about $7,500 including sales and financial donations,” Johnson said in an email. “We are happy with the results and grateful for the opportunity to provide support for the precious Touch A Life children in Ghana.”
All of the money raised goes to providing support to four children being helped through the foundation, Johnson said.
