Trevor Lawrence is the king of college football, but is making some internet headlines this morning thanks to an altercation in an intramural hoops game in Death Valley.
During the run, Lawrence took exception to someone on the other team setting a hard screen on him while he was pressuring the ball after a missed shot. He reacted by dropping the kid to the floor with a first round shove. Both benches sort of cleared, but cooler heads prevailed.
The reaction to this is going to be split between those who think Lawrence looks like a DB for getting bent out of shape – and picking up full court during an intramural game, and those that think intramural randos need to learn not to bang on the school’s Golden Boy so he can win more natties.
Maybe Lawrence should ditch the hardwood until he has that #1 pick money in his pocket.
