The Rams are the hottest team in the NFL, but their L.A. neighbors, the Chargers, are still struggling to draw fans to a converted soccer stadium that aren’t cheering for the visiting team.
Yesterday, this was on full display when the Niners came to town and their fans took over the stadium to basically make it another home game. One play that is a particularly shocking indictment on the Chargers inability to fill seats with their fans came in the second quarter when San Francisco QB C.J. Beathard tossed a TD pass to give San Fran a 14-0 lead and the crowd erupted like old Candlestick.
This is about as embarrassing as it gets for an NFL team playing at “home.” Unfortunately for the Chargers, they have 16 road games this year.
With 4:00 to play in the 1st quarter, the reaction to he #49ers taking a 14-0 lead on the #Chargers in Carson. WOW #SFvsLAC pic.twitter.com/1NFarYqhRc
