Baker Mayfield entered last night’s game against the Jets with Cleveland trailing 14-0 in the second quarter when Tyrod Taylor left the game with a concussion, and pulled off the impossible by leading the Browns to their first win in over 600 days.
By any standards, Baker’s 17/23, 241 yard debut exceeded most people’s wildest imaginations, but in his postgame press conference Hue Jackson left pretty much everyone scratching their heads by refusing to commit to Mayfield as the starter for Week 4 against the Raiders after the question was asked.
Jackson said he’d have to look at the tape and would then make a decision. Uh, yeah, go take a look at that tape Hue and let us know what you find out.
