Jason Witten is probably headed to the Hall of Fame for his work on the gridiron, but he’s still got a long way to go in the Monday Night Football booth. Unlike Tony Romo, who took the broadcasting world by storm with his youthful energy and dazzling play predictions, Witten specializes in dead air and butchering commonly used phrases like Tommy Callahan.
During last night’s Packers/Niners MNF showdown, Witten eloquently said Aaron Rodgers pulled ‘a rabbit out of his head’ after his game-tying 4th quarter TD pass. You can get a good look at a t-bone by sticking your head up a butcher’s…. oh wait, how does that go?
“You saw Aaron Rodgers there, blood on his elbow big old knee brace on, hit on his wrist, it doesn’t matter, he pulls another rabbit out of his head.”
Witten also came down hard on San Francisco, saying they ‘ can’t kick themselves in the foot’ with mistakes down the stretch. Can’t do that. Paging Peyton Manning, blank check. Name your price.
