With only 7 teams in the NFL currently having a perfect season, Clay Travis goes over who he thinks has a shot of going all the way this season.
Unfortunately for the Bears, there’s doubt: “I’m not buying them. They had to bring in Mitch Trubisky and bench Nick Foles. Much like the Titans, they’re only 12 points better than their opponents so far, so I’m not really sold on what’s going on there.”
In regards to the the Buffalo Bills, Clay says: “Not really a believer here. They were fortunate to get past the Rams. I like that Josh Allen can now make plays, and the team can win BECAUSE OF him, and not IN SPITE OF. We will see how they do in New England but I’m not sold on the Bills as a legitimate Super Bowl contender.”
When it comes to the Steelers: “We know Ben Roethlisberger has already won two Super Bowls but are you buying into the idea that Roethlisberger, coming off that issue in his elbow, is going to round into shape?”
What about the Titans?: “I don’t buy into the Titans. I’m a season ticket holder and I like for them to win every game, but they’ve won every game by a last second field goal effectively, and they could very easily be 0-3. There is value in being a team who is able to find ways to win, but the Titans defense is not much. They’ve got good offensive weaponry, but I’m curious to see them against the Steelers this Sunday. They’re 3-0 but they’ve outscored their opponents by six total points.”
The Kansas City Chiefs get cut down by Clay as well: “I’m not a believer in anyone in the AFC being a legitimate Super Bowl contender besides the Chiefs and the Ravens.”
Clay ends up having faith in the Packers though: “We saw what they did, 102 points through three games – I’m buying what they’re selling.”
And finally the Seahawks have a little bit of hope: “I’m a big believer in Russell Wilson and think he’s going to be the overall MVP of the league, but I’m not necessarily buying into the Seahawks defense; it’s atrocious.”
